EU Regulation (EU) 2026/382 · In Force Since Jul 1, 2026

Same HS code = only €3 once by law

HS code validation + EU small parcel duty audit + bulk customs document generation. Verify the €3 flat duty per EU regulation, compare against platform billing, recover overcharges, and export declaration-ready evidence.

Same Order, Two Calculations — How Much Difference?

Enter your product lines, compare EU regulation vs platform billing in real time

Why Act Now

Regulation has been live for 2+ months — merchants are already debating this in the community

Wrong Calculation

Platform charges per product line: 2 items with same HS code = €6, but EU law says merge to 1 line = €3.

Mismatched Rules

Many orders showed €0 duty on launch day. After fixes, still billed per line instead of merged per EU regulation.

October Deadline

Nov 1, 2026: Product Identifiers become mandatory. Compliance requirements keep tightening — manual checking is getting harder.

FAQ

Why should same-HS products only be charged €3 once?

Per EU official guidance, €3 is charged per 'declaration line': same HS code + product description (and country of origin where applicable) merge into one line, charged 1×€3 — quantity doesn't double it. Official example: 3 women's suits of different fabrics all under 6104 19 = just €3.

How is this different from Shopify native features?

Platform billing is per product line — same HS = €6. We calculate per EU regulation and compare line-by-line, showing you the difference and the basis for each charge. It helps you optimize duty costs.

Does this conflict with Shopify's official Managed Markets?

No — it's complementary. Managed Markets handles collection and declaration infrastructure. We focus on compliance audit and cost optimization. Even sellers not on Managed Markets can use us for customs documents and audit.

What about shipments over €150?

Packages under €150 use the flat €3 per item rate. Shipments over €150 go through standard ad valorem duty declaration — that's on our roadmap.

How do I install?

Enter your store domain (yourstore.myshopify.com) and click install — follow the authorization prompts. Free tier: 20 order scans + 5 documents/month. Paid plans unlock 200 orders + product HS mapping + unlimited documents. Direct install link before App Store listing.

What can the free tier do?

Scan 20 EU orders under €150/month, generate a duty audit report (regulated vs platform estimate, risk flags), and export 5 customs documents — enough to verify the value. Upgrade to Basic $19/month for more scans and saved HS mappings.

What documents are included?

EU customs commercial invoice (IOSS format, printable as PDF), declaration checklist (CSV, grouped by order). Customizable templates: seller name, IOSS number, sender address. All built-in with HS code disclaimer.

Is my data safe?

Order data is stored in your own MongoDB (Vercel + MongoDB Atlas). All keys are in environment variables. Pages have anti-copy protection. Access control is enforced on the backend.
